Heartland Home Care, owned by Kathy & Don Ulrich, began this mission of caring on January 1, 2003 in Kearney, NE. Kathy has many years of experience caring for the elderly, most recently as the director of retirement and assisted living communities. She observed that people were saddened to leave the comfort of their home in order to receive assistance with daily living needs. Opening Heartland Home Care was her hope to help those who wanted to receive that care at home. In 2005 they extended offices to Grand Island, NE and Vermillion, SD.

Heartland Home Care located in Kearney, Nebraska (serving Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings, Holdrege, Lexington, and surrounding communities) provides in-home care, companionship, and home health services. Heartland Home Care located in Vermillion, South Dakota (serving Vermillion, Yankton, Elk Point, Beresford, Canton, Parker, Wagner, and surrounding communities) provides in-home care and companionship services.
